Our work covers much more than a single type of garden building. We design each structure around its intended use, the available garden layout and the features that matter to the people who will use it.
A climbing frame should work for both the children using it and the garden it sits within. We create bespoke outdoor play spaces that can be adapted around different ages, activities and layouts.
See Our Bespoke Climbing FramesOur garden rooms are individually designed for homeowners looking to create practical additional space for working, exercising, hobbies or simply enjoying the garden.
Explore Our Bespoke Garden RoomsOur gazebos and pergolas are made to measure around the outdoor space you want to create, whether that means somewhere for dining, relaxing, entertaining or providing additional cover within the garden.
Discover Our Gazebos & PergolasFor homeowners looking to create more space, we design and build bespoke timber frame extensions that provide valuable additional living space, complement the existing property and can potentially add value to the home.
Explore Timber Frame ExtensionsDecking can help connect a home, garden and timber structure, while fencing can provide practical boundaries and contribute to the overall appearance of an outdoor space.
Explore Decking & FencingOur wooden swings can be designed as standalone garden features, incorporated into a larger play area or created to hang from a suitable existing tree.
Discover Our Wooden SwingsA garden does not always divide neatly into individual projects.
A new garden room may benefit from carefully considered decking, while a pergola can form part of a wider outdoor living space. A climbing frame may incorporate a swing, playhouse or an existing tree.
Because our work is bespoke, we can look at the wider space rather than treating every structure in isolation.
If you are considering something that does not fit neatly into one of our main service categories, tell us what you have in mind. Other bespoke timber projects can be considered where appropriate.
Marlow is the central location for our business and the foundation from which we serve customers across Buckinghamshire, neighbouring counties and further afield.
The variety of landscapes in our local area is one reason we do not assume the same garden room, pergola or outdoor structure will suit every property. We consider the individual house, garden layout, intended use and existing features before developing a design.
Trees can require particular care. Within a conservation area, Buckinghamshire Council states that work proposed to qualifying trees requires notification to the local authority, allowing it to consider whether a Tree Preservation Order is appropriate.
For us, existing trees do not automatically mean a timber project is impossible. Designing structures around trees and other established garden features is already part of our bespoke approach. Where planning or protected-tree considerations apply, however, these need to be understood before the design progresses.
My Wooden House is based in Marlow, Buckinghamshire, and works throughout the surrounding region.
If you have a suitable project further afield, you are welcome to enquire. For customers at a greater distance, photographs, measurements and a video consultation can also provide a useful first step before arranging the next stage.

Yes. We do not ask you to select a standard model from a catalogue. Our structures are made to order, with dimensions, layout, features and design considered around your requirements and the individual space.
Yes. Designing for unusual spaces is an important part of our work. We have experience considering slopes, trees, fences, boundaries, compact spaces and unconventional garden layouts when developing bespoke designs.
Simply get in touch and tell us a little about what you would like to create and where you are based. Depending on the project and location, we can arrange a free video consultation or site visit to discuss your ideas, look at the available space and understand your requirements. From there, we can develop a bespoke design and provide a quotation tailored to your project.
There is no single lead time that applies to every project. Timescales depend on the type, scale and complexity of the structure as well as current availability. We can discuss likely timings once we understand what you would like us to create.
Because every structure is individually designed, we quote projects according to their particular requirements rather than relying on a fixed catalogue price. Factors such as size, design, materials, features and complexity can all influence the final quotation.
Yes. Free delivery & installation are included with all My Wooden House projects.
It depends on the individual property and proposed structure. Some outbuildings can fall within permitted development rights, while other projects require permission or additional consideration.
This can be particularly important for properties affected by conservation or heritage controls. Buckinghamshire Council confirms that permitted development rights can be restricted in conservation areas and provides tools for checking whether a property is affected.
Where relevant to the project, we can provide guidance around planning considerations as part of the design process.
Existing trees can sometimes become part of a bespoke design, and our previous work includes creating structures around established garden features. The individual tree, structure and site still need to be assessed, particularly where planning controls or tree protection requirements may apply.
Whether you are considering a garden room, children's climbing frame, gazebo, pergola, timber frame extension, decking, fencing, wooden swing or another bespoke timber structure in Marlow, the starting point is the same: tell us about your space and what you would like it to become.
We will consider your project individually, rather than trying to fit your requirements around a predetermined product. With our business based locally, you can work directly with a family-run specialist whose approach is centred on craftsmanship, practical design and structures made specifically for the spaces they occupy.
